About Me

My Art Journey

Growing up in the 80’s and 90’s, I recall drawing every chance I got. In school I would draw cartoons, wildlife, and portraits instead of taking notes. I’m sure I ruined a chemistry book or two.

After high school, my passion for art started to fade. School, Family, and work became my priority. Each year I told myself I would "get back to it" but each year I found reasons to say "I don't have the time".

I turned 40 in 2022 and realized my oldest son was about to turn 16. I reflected on my life as 16 year old and remembered how much art was part of me. What happened?

In 2023 I committed myself to spend 15-20 minutes a day sketching. To hold myself accountable I decided to create a public art page.

After posting a video about starting art again in my 40’s, I realized how many people could relate with losing a childhood passion. I call us the "lost generation creators".

My hope is to inspire more and more "Lost Generation Creators" to get back into creating. I know some of us just need a little encouragement.

Today

I currently live in Utah with my wife of 19 years and 5 children. I work in the financial services industry during the day and I'm covered in charcoal on nights and weekends. I have an MBA and a Law Degree from the University of Denver.

THANK YOU for being here. I hope to hear from you soon!
